Blender reatargeting throws an error

Hello,

I’m testing your addon for Blender and planing to buy a license, but I have a problem with retargeting IK bones. It always throws an Python error. Tested with Blender 4.5.3 and 4.4. is here also a updated tutorial for Autorig Pro rigs? The one video on Youtube seems to be an old version. I still have some problems to chain/find the right bones.

What error have you seen? Can you copy-paste the error here for us to have a look?

And, we acutally have not yet update the download link on our official website for a while, there are a couple of beta releases on the forum, have you tried them?

thank your for your beta links. I got it to work somehow, but it’s very buggy. Selecting a marker and do a retargeting through the menu still throws an error (bug.png).

It just works, if you go in pose mode, select the pole and use the retarget button inside the solver/target window. But here is an other bug. Often it works just once, so you have to switch back to object mode, when back to pose mode, select the pole it can can be retargeted. But you can not simply select all poles one by one in pose mode and retarget, as the retarget button does not get enabled again if you select the next marker. You always have to switch to object mode and back to pose mode.

Other problems I found so far:
You cannot assign an object to ragdoll system if it is not visible in the viewport. I select it in the outliner and use the ragdoll menu.

I have a scene with hidden objects (not marker). If i save and open again, the simulation does not work. I first have to unhide the original object, so make them visible again in the viewport so the simulation works.

Many times the “Assign and Connect” does not create a marker for the last selected bone. If I undo and do again “Assign and Connect” all markers are created.

Thanks for sharing this @HeliumVola, this could be an issue with later versions of Blender; we officially support Blender up to 4.4, are you able to reproduce the issue there?

I’ve tested the old version from your website on 4.4, but not the new beta. Will do this in the afternoon and rig again the character.

So, checked on 4.4. The retarget problem exists here as well, but I had no issues with “the last bone” problem. Will continue now on 4.4. New bug: ChangingBVlender to Vulkan engine will no show the markers in the viewport. Just Opengl works. Same on 4.5.
