Hello there!

I just found out that we cant have “-” in the bone names aswell as “.”, just ran into an issue and that was causing it. When i tried importing the ragdoll setup into another file the parts with a bone name containing “-” didnt get imported at all.

Hey @iSivert,

Great to hear back from you!

Yeah, that’s one of the current limitations unfortuanately, we can only use _ as separator :frowning:

Just a reminder, here are those 2 rules

Hope this works for you!

Hey there! Thanks, maybe it would be a good idea to make a warning message regarding the naming conventions before creating a marker. Just a thought

Ah, hm…

Would it be too late, if showing the message when exporting?

Because that naming limitation is only required when exporting Ragdoll physics. (Hope we can get rid of that soon!)

But yeah, if the warning is shown after marker created, you will have to rename both bone and marker, if having the same naming convention for bones and markers is preferred.

Thanks for the advice!

Yeah exactly, that would be kinda counter productive. Ofc, happy to help!

Hello,

Found another thing with the imported ragdoll setup - when i bake the ragdoll onto the bones and i dont like how it looks - i do a few undos and the custom ragdoll shapes are reverted back into a sphere. So i have to reimport the setup everytime

Hi @iSivert

We need more details for this one. What did you mean by “bake the ragdoll onto the bones”? Were you referring to “Record Simulation”?

Would be better if you have steps to reproduce the bug.

In the meantime, please give the new release (posted here) a try, as it has some scene export bugs addressed, which might also help here.

Thank you for your patience
