3ds max is best choice. Because it have huge community
Well, I animate and use 3dsMax, so that is the obvious choice for me

Thanks for the overwhelming response everyone, 3ds Max is looking promising.
I left out Unreal, which some have asked for, so let me add an extra poll here. In-game means computing physics within your game, whereas in the Editor means pre-recorded simulations for e.g. cinematics.
