Rigid body dynamics

Hi

I would like to ask if ragdoll is also a good option to simulate rigid body dynamics in Maya?

in this case i also have some of the assets keyframed animated and would like Rogdoll to take the existing movment, speed etc, into account! Is that possible and if yes, how?

Is there a tutorial on the topic?

Hey @David, yes of course, that’s what Ragdoll does. :slight_smile: It is a rigid body dynamics solver. Everything you do with Ragdoll is rigid body dynamics.

To take on the velocity of your animation, simply animate the Behaviour attribute on the Marker from Animated to Simulated, and the simulation will take over. There is also this attribute on the group, if you have many objects, to affect all of them at once.
