Python API vs github/ragdoll

Hi Marcus,

I have a question about the Python API in the Unlimited vs Complete license.
Whats the difference between the Python API mentioned for Unlimited and the one on your github?

Thank you,
Dominik

“API” can mean two things.

  1. The Python repository on GitHub, containing all user commands, the Maya menu and Ragdoll UI
  2. The portion of this repository intended for pipeline integration, a.k.a. the Ragdoll API, i.e. from ragdoll import api

There is currently no difference between either of these in Ragdoll Complete and Ragdoll Unlimited. Ragdoll Unlimited is the licence with official support for the Ragdoll API (2) and will eventually become inaccessible via Ragdoll Complete. It’s intended for enterprise users with a greater need for automation.

Thank you for the clarification!

This just said Python API so I was wondering what that was. Guess I should have included that in the first post… :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:
