Create Multiple Solvers / Split Characters into separate solvers

Seems it’s possible, I’m just not seeing it in any documentation for solvers or importing physics:

Solver - Learn Ragdoll

Import Physics - Learn Ragdoll

How do you create:

• a separate solver on import physics of a rag file
• choose one of the multiple existing solvers on import physics of a rag file
• split multiple characters into groupings of their own solvers after they’ve already been assigned to a single solver

Thanks for any help, couldn’t find any documentation on these things but saw in forum people referring to having multiple solvers so I’m missing something somewhere if you can link to documentation of this info too if people have it.

Sure is possible, the Ragdoll → Edit menu has got what you are looking for.

a separate solver on import physics of a rag file

The Import Physics dialog has an option to either import the solver from the file, or to import its contents onto the existing solver.

choose one of the multiple existing solvers on import physics of a rag file

Import the solver from the file, then Merge Solvers with the one you’d rather import it into.

Use the Extract Markers item to move Markers into a new solver.

If you miss any, you can move Markers between solvers via Move to Solver to retroactively fix it.
