About rGroup Ungroup

Nice to meet you. I do not speak native English, so I apologize if I did not convey my message.
I have only had Ragdoll installed for about a week and am in the trial period.
I apologize if I have missed something in the column or tutorial.

I would like to use [ Ungroup ] as described here:

After selecting a marker, [ Ungroup ] does not create [ rGroup ].
Currently, I am stuck with one [ rGroup ].
How can I fix this?

Has it been lost with the newer version?

Also, how do I display a line where I can easily see this group?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @mataka, welcome to the forums!

The Ungroup option will move Markers out of a group into having no group.

If you want to move Markers from one group to a new group, select them and run Group. It will keep the previous group and create a new group for the newly selected Markers.

I can’t quite make out your uploaded image, could you try again?

If what you mean is to visualise which Markers is part of a group, you can select the group and it will highlight the Markers part of it.

You can also list the group in Maya’s Node Editor to see which Markers plug into it.

I was able to do what I wanted!
I see, after selecting the marker, I need to “ungroup” it once and then execute “group” in Edit.
Thank you very much!

I’m sorry, I’ll post the photo again.

Great news.

Except oh, that is one old version of Ragdoll you’ve got there (see bottom of the Ragdoll menu).

The latest version works in the same way, and you’ll find it aligns better with the tutorials and documentation too.

Thanks for the reply!

I understand now. Personally, I would have used this line if I could, as it is easy to see at a glance the scope of impact, etc!

I will touch it up a bit more, though!
Thanks for your reply!
