Hey first time here, I was following along with the tutorials. I am trying to record simulation on to these flaps but when I hit record simulation it seems nothing was recorded?
Hey @leufm01, welcome to the forums. 
Hard to say without being able to reproduce it here, but I suspect either you are recording to joints and your options say “Ignore Joints” or there are errors in your Script Editor containing clues.
One option would be to try the Retargeting UI to see where things is trying to get recoreded.
Alternatively you can try Ragdoll -> Utilities -> Extract Simulation which would transfer the simulation onto a new set of Maya joints you can constrain your rig to.
Ah that might be the case! I redid it again with the controls and its working now thank you!
